Job Overview: We are looking for a passionate and innovative Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Perform thorough evaluations to assess patients' abilities, limitations, and goals. Create personalized treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve patients' functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, and cognitive functions.
- Adaptive Equipment: Recommend and train patients in using adaptive equipment and assistive technology to boost their independence and engagement in daily activities.
- Education: Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies, home exercise routines, and techniques to support ongoing progress and safety.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in line with regulatory and hospital standards.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in occupational therapy through ongoing education and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Valid Occupational Therapist license in California.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred, though enthusiastic new graduates with a strong dedication to patient care are welcome to apply.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, creativity in therapeutic approaches, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
