Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft customized treatment strategies that align with both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions focusing on vital areas such as communication, language fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate cohesive and effective care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress outside of clinical interactions.
• Support inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the patient's recovery process.
• Maintain meticulous documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuing education and collaborate with peers to keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Education

• A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• ASHA’s Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needs to be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
