Medical Imaging Technologist – Nuclear Medicine
Now Hiring: Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Clarion, Iowa
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join our diagnostic imaging team in Clarion, IA. In this full-time position, you’ll be responsible for performing a range of nuclear medicine procedures, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, and collaborating with our healthcare professionals to provide high-quality diagnostic care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety standards and regulations
- Operate nuclear imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners
- Perform various nuclear medicine procedures, such as cardiac, bone, thyroid, and renal imaging
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Educate and comfort patients during procedures, ensuring they feel informed and at ease
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for patients
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Certification or certification-eligible through ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB
- BLS certification required
- Strong understanding of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceutical handling, and safety standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience in nuclear medicine preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply
