Nuclear Medicine Technologist – NMT
We are currently hiring a skilled and motivated Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join our medical imaging team in Chaplin, Kentucky. In this full-time position, you will perform nuclear medicine procedures, prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, and provide physicians with essential imaging to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to regulatory and safety standards
- Operate nuclear imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET/CT systems
- Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures (cardiac, bone, renal, thyroid, etc.)
- Monitor patient condition and maintain accurate records
- Follow strict radiation safety guidelines and infection control procedures
- Assist with patient education and provide reassurance throughout the procedure
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Certified or eligible for certification through ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB
- Active BLS certification required
- Strong understanding of imaging protocols, radiopharmaceutical handling, and radiation safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
