We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Surgical Technologist to join our dedicated surgical team. In this critical role, you will assist in preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing support during surgeries. Your expertise will be key in ensuring that every procedure is executed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile and ready for use
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery and assist the surgical team by passing instruments and materials
- Perform accurate surgical counts before, during, and after the procedure to ensure no instruments are left behind
- Assist with patient positioning and prepping the surgical site
- Clean and restock the operating room after each surgery
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe, sterile environment
- Document surgical counts and patient details as required
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operating room procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
