Nuclear Medicine Technologist – NMT

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join our diagnostic imaging team in Frenchboro, Maine. This full-time position offers the opportunity to perform critical imaging procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and support physicians with essential diagnostic information—all in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following all safety and regulatory protocols
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging systems including gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners
- Perform a variety of procedures such as cardiac, thyroid, renal, bone, and whole-body scans
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintain patient records
- Maintain radiation safety standards and equipment functionality
- Educate and support patients before, during, and after procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Certified or certification-eligible through ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB
- Current BLS certification
- Knowledge of imaging techniques, safety protocols, and patient care best practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
