Radiology Technologist Job Description:
The Radiologic Technologist must be a licensed professional responsible for the operation and performance of medical imaging procedures to the patient.
Rad Tech Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and mammograms according to physician orders and protocols.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and answering any questions or concerns.
- Position patients correctly and use appropriate radiation protection measures to minimize radiation exposure.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards.
- Evaluate images for quality and clarity, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of findings.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to review images and assist in patient diagnosis.
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and maintain compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Radiology or equivalent
- Current ARRT Certification
- New Jersey DEP License.
- Current BLS Certification
