Nuclear Medicine Technologist – NMT
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join our diagnostic imaging team in Smyrna, NY. In this full-time role, you will perform crucial nuclear medicine imaging procedures, provide radiopharmaceuticals, and support our healthcare team in delivering high-quality diagnostic care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with regulatory and safety standards
- Operate nuclear imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners
- Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures (cardiac, bone, thyroid, renal)
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety protocols
- Support patients throughout procedures, providing reassurance and instruction
- Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and the healthcare team to optimize patient care
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Certification or certification-eligible through ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB
- BLS certification required
- Strong understanding of nuclear medicine protocols, radiopharmaceuticals, and imaging techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
