Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team in Normalville, Pennsylvania. In this important role, you will be responsible for preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team during a variety of procedures. Your expertise will ensure the safety and efficiency of surgeries, playing a crucial part in providing exceptional care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgeries, assisting the surgical team by passing instruments and materials
- Perform surgical counts before, during, and after each procedure to ensure that all instruments are accounted for
- Assist with patient positioning and prepping the surgical site
- Clean and restock the operating room after each surgery
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment
- Document surgical counts and other necessary patient information accurately
- Collaborate effectively with other surgical team members to provide high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operating room procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
