Nuclear Medicine Technologist – NMT
Join Our Team as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Uvalde, TX
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join our imaging and diagnostic care team in Uvalde, Texas. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures and providing critical imaging support to help physicians diagnose and manage a variety of conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals following all safety protocols
- Operate nuclear imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET/CT systems
- Conduct a range of diagnostic procedures (e.g., cardiac scans, bone scans, thyroid imaging)
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards
- Record and maintain accurate patient data and imaging documentation
- Educate and assist patients throughout the diagnostic process
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare staff
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Certification through ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB, or eligibility to obtain
- Current BLS certification
- Strong technical knowledge of nuclear imaging equipment and safety standards
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Prior experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
