Care With Urgency, Purpose, and Heart in a Region That Honors the Work You Do
If you’re a Registered Nurse drawn to the intensity of critical care — whether it’s the split-second decisions of the ER, the precision of the OR, or the quiet vigilance of the ICU — this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a place that respects your skills and supports your growth. You’ll join a team where every member plays a vital role, where collaboration is real, and where the rhythm of the work is matched only by the pride you feel at the end of each shift.
Whether you're stabilizing a trauma patient, managing ventilator settings, or prepping for surgery, you’ll be trusted to lead with confidence and compassion. Our patients count on us during their most vulnerable moments, and we count on each other — because great care doesn’t happen alone. If you’re quick on your feet, calm under pressure, and committed to delivering excellence at every touchpoint, you’ll feel right at home here.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work full-time on a flexible schedule that could include days, nights, or weekends, depending on your specialty area and patient needs. In the ER, you’ll manage triage, trauma, and acute medical conditions with speed and clarity. In the OR, you’ll assist with surgical procedures, maintain sterile fields, and coordinate closely with the surgical team before, during, and after operations. In the ICU, you’ll monitor critically ill patients, interpret complex data, and provide advanced, often life-sustaining care. Across all units, you’ll collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals, communicate with families, and serve as an anchor of stability in high-pressure environments.
Why You’ll Love the Team — and the Landscape That Anchors You
This is a place where nurses are respected as clinical leaders, not just task managers. You’ll be backed by a leadership team that values your voice and encourages your continued education and certification. Whether you're deepening your expertise in critical care, exploring charge nurse roles, or expanding into clinical education, we’ll help you go further — with mentorship and support every step of the way.
And when your shift ends, you’ll step into a community full of charm, energy, and a slower kind of pace that feels like exhale.
Framed by forested hills and nestled near the Blue Ridge Mountains, this region blends historic architecture, academic vibrancy, and outdoor beauty in a way that’s rare to find and easy to love. You can spend your off-days kayaking the river, hiking local overlooks, or catching live music in a revitalized downtown. Coffee shops hum with university life, scenic trails are minutes from your doorstep, and the seasons paint the landscape in four unforgettable acts.
It’s the kind of place where porch lights still matter, local diners remember your order, and even busy days end with views worth slowing down for. For those who give so much during their shifts, it’s the kind of community that gives something back.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll need an active Registered Nurse license in Virginia, along with current BLS and ACLS certifications. PALS and TNCC are highly valued, particularly for ER roles. Experience in the ER, OR, or ICU is preferred, but we welcome new graduates who bring strong clinical instincts, solid preceptorships, and a passion for high-acuity care. Most importantly, you’ll need to be a team player with excellent communication, sound judgment, and a steady hand when it counts most.
Let’s Deliver the Kind of Care That Saves — and Restores — Lives
If you’re ready to be part of a critical care team that trusts you, challenges you, and celebrates the work you do — in a region that’s every bit as rewarding — apply today. Let’s do this work the right way, together.
