What You’ll Do
- Perform Comprehensive Ultrasound Exams
Conduct abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, vascular, and musculoskeletal ultrasound studies with precision and attention to detail. - Operate Advanced Imaging Equipment
Adjust and utilize ultrasound systems to capture clear, diagnostic-quality images tailored to each patient's needs. - Ensure Patient Comfort and Care
Position patients properly and explain procedures clearly to ensure comfort, reduce anxiety, and promote safety throughout the exam. - Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals
Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and care teams to interpret results and support swift clinical decisions. - Document and Manage Imaging Records
Accurately input patient data and imaging results into electronic medical records (EMR) while maintaining compliance with privacy regulations. - Follow Regulatory and Clinical Guidelines
Adhere to HIPAA, AIUM, and facility protocols to ensure a safe, ethical, and professional environment. - Maintain and Monitor Equipment
Perform routine maintenance checks on ultrasound machines and promptly report technical issues to ensure continuous operation. - Stay Informed and Evolve Professionally
Engage in ongoing learning and training to keep up with evolving technology, techniques, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
Certification & Licensure:
- Current certification through ARDMS or ARRT(S).
- Washington State licensure as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (or eligibility to obtain).
Experience & Skills:
- 1+ years of sonography experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound systems and imaging software.
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy and diagnostic sonographic techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends or on-call, as needed.
