About the Role: MLR is seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will perform a variety of ultrasound exams, deliver exceptional care to patients, and collaborate closely with the medical team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound exams across multiple specialties, including abdomen, pelvis, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts.
- Conduct exams independently while adhering to ergonomic best practices.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with patients, their families, and healthcare providers.
- Ensure patient comfort and privacy in a respectful, caring environment.
- Complete necessary documentation, conduct research related to exams, and maintain an organized and clean workspace.
- Oversee the management of supplies, ensuring exam rooms are stocked and ready for use.
- Utilize RIS/PACS systems effectively for scheduling and managing patient information.
- Work collaboratively within a dynamic team, exhibiting flexibility and a positive attitude.
- Additional certifications in other modalities are a plus.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited ultrasound training program with an AS/BS degree.
- RDMS certification.
- Abdomen and OB/GYN certifications required.
- Vascular certification preferred.
- Current BLS for healthcare providers, or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
- Successful completion of an internal background check.
