We are looking for a talented and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our growing surgical team in Salkum. In this key role, you will prepare the operating room, maintain a sterile environment, and assist the surgical team during procedures. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will help ensure the safety and success of every surgery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile and ready for use
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery and assist the surgical team by passing instruments and materials
- Perform accurate surgical counts before, during, and after surgery to ensure no instruments are left behind
- Assist with patient positioning and prepping the surgical area
- Clean and restock the operating room after each procedure
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff
- Document surgical counts and patient information accurately
- Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operating room procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly in high-pressure situations
