Surgical Scrub Technician Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Surgical Scrub Technician to join our surgical team. As a Surgical Scrub Tech, you will play a critical role in maintaining a sterile environment, assisting surgeons during operations, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. You will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care in the operating room.
Surgical Scrub Technician Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures.
- Scrub in and assist surgeons and surgical staff during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other necessary supplies.
- Set up and organize surgical instruments and equipment in preparation for surgery.
- Sterilize surgical instruments and maintain proper inventory of surgical tools and supplies.
- Ensure that the surgical area is properly cleaned and that sterile techniques are maintained at all times.
- Assist in patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
Surgical Scrub Technician Qualifications:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
- Previous experience as a Surgical Scrub Tech or in an operating room setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and surgical procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
